Every Newport Beach Vacations property comes with at least one designated parking space — a carport, garage, or labeled spot. These are your spots for the duration of your stay. Your booking confirmation includes exact parking instructions with photos in some cases. Parking spots are labeled with the property number or unit letter. Never park in a neighbor's labeled spot.
Street parking on the Balboa Peninsula is governed by City of Newport Beach parking regulations. Most peninsula streets have 2-hour time limits during peak hours (typically 9am–6pm) in summer. Some streets have permit-only parking. Always read the posted signs — they control. Parking citations on the Peninsula are actively enforced, particularly in summer.
Street sweeping occurs on specific days in each neighborhood. Parking on the street-sweeping side of the street during sweeping hours (typically 2-hour windows in the morning) results in a citation. Your property's check-in instructions include the street sweeping schedule for your specific street.
During summer months (Memorial Day through Labor Day), parking on the Peninsula becomes extremely competitive on weekends. We strongly recommend arriving on weekdays if possible, and storing your car in your designated spots for the duration of your stay rather than moving it daily.
The Peninsula's narrow alley access means many properties cannot accommodate large SUVs, trucks, or vehicles over a certain length in carport or garage spaces. If you are driving a large vehicle, contact us before arrival to confirm it will fit in your designated parking.
